Tyagi-Vrati Nidhi

  • A sacred initiative to support renunciates and ascetics committed to spiritual life through service, simplicity, and discipline.

1: Assistance for Renunciates Residing in Ashrams and Retreats

  • This initiative aims to provide essential support to Tyagi (renounced) and Vrati (vowed) individuals who have chosen to leave worldly life and reside in ashrams or similar spiritual retreats.
  • Key areas of support include:
    • Daily sustenance through pure and appropriate aahar (meals).
    • Access to essential aushadhi (medicines) for health and well-being.
    • Provision of vaiyavritya (personal assistance) when required, in line with spiritual traditions.
    • Ensuring that their basic needs are met respectfully, without compromising their vows of simplicity and non-attachment.
    • Support will be extended in a discreet and dignified manner, maintaining the spiritual discipline and sanctity of their chosen lifestyle.

2: Providing Facilities for Spiritual Discipline and Right Conduct

  • The Nidhi also aims to create an environment where Tyagis and Vratis can fully observe their sādhanā (spiritual practices) and charyā (daily conduct) without material hindrances.
  • Support initiatives include:
    • Ensuring availability of peaceful, hygienic, and spiritually conducive living spaces.
    • Access to spiritual scriptures, meditation tools, and study resources.
    • Travel arrangements when required for vihār (religious movement or pilgrimage).
    • Maintenance of spaces like Upashrayas or Ashrams for collective living.
  • The focus is to serve those who have embraced a life of renunciation, ensuring that their journey toward inner purity and self-realization remains undisturbed and well-supported.
